Free river runsMake an online profile first. A Tuesday Easy Riders wave has an explicit pace arrangement.
Create a profile on the club website, then introduce yourself on arrival. The club says it can pair new members with someone who knows the route and runs at a similar pace.
The club recommends being able to run a continuous 5 km before its road or track sessions. Its separate Couch to 5K programme is the route for complete beginners; check the current intake.

Bringing a bag?
Tuesday and Thursday river runs offer a bag drop at the pub, at your own risk. There is no Sunday bag drop. Arrive ready to run.
The detail that changes the plan
A free river run and a paid, advance-booked track session are different offerings. Selecting Tuesday also means choosing the right departure wave.
If a supported group pace matters more than a choice of departure time, investigate the Easy Riders wave specifically. The club's general welcome does not turn every other wave into a led session.
One useful question for this club
Is the 18:45 Easy Riders group running this Tuesday, and which route will it use?
The published programme is not a confirmation that a particular date will go ahead. Check the club's current announcements.
After work: choose the wave before the journey.
Consider an invented first-time visitor who finishes work with a bag and wants a group with an explicit pace arrangement. “Tuesday river run” is not yet a complete plan. The published 18:15 and 18:45 departures are different options, and only the Easy Riders description gives the particular pace arrangement recorded above.
First choose the session and date. Then check the current club announcement for that date, create the required profile and plan to arrive with time to introduce yourself. Ask where the chosen group will gather and tell the organiser that it is your first visit. This directory has not reserved a place or confirmed that a named person will meet you.
Next resolve the bag separately from the route. The published weekday bag-drop arrangement does not carry over to Sunday. If carrying the bag while running would change your plan, establish an alternative before travelling; a nearby pub address is not automatically storage access at every departure time.
Finally ask for the route you actually intend to run. A map of the borough only helps locate the club’s area. Save the organiser’s meeting point and route information so you are not relying on FirstLoop’s shaded borough as turn-by-turn directions.
I have made a profile and would like to join Easy Riders on [date]. Is that departure going ahead, where should a first-time visitor meet the group, and what route is planned?
Replace the bracket with an actual date. Use a reliable contact address for replies and last-minute changes. This wording is an original planning aid, not a message that FirstLoop sends.
